*taps mic* *clears throat*
It doesn't matter if you started protesting reality shows in the 1990's or 90 minutes ago. What matters is that you're protesting them. Period. Criticising people for their motive in protesting or "just now" protesting is selfish and rude. It is defeatist and reeks of you desiring to be in the elitist position you're accusing others of being in. Stop it.
If you think that it's ok for you to watch reality shows because they entertain you or make you laugh, then you are a human who delights in the amplification of another human's ignorance, bad choices, and brokenness. I'm not judging you, I'm calling a spade a spade. If you're in your feelings about that statement, check yourself, not me. And if you can't say Amen, just say ouch. Truth is truth whether you like it or not, and it is oftentimes hard to swallow.
If you think the effect of reality shows are not your problem, then you are indeed part of the problem.
Now get right or get left behind. I'm making moves. You coming?
