It doesn't matter if you started protesting reality shows in the 1990's or 90 minutes ago. What matters is that you're protesting them. Period. Criticising people for their motive in protesting or "just now" protesting is selfish and rude. It is defeatist and reeks of you desiring to be in the elitist position you're accusing others of being in. Stop it.
